Our first Eqvvs store which opened in 1985, was born out of a passion for style, providing the high-end shopping experience found in the streets of Milan and delivering it to the British high street. After years of building our brand, we soon realised that this level of service was needed not just in our local area, but throughout the entire UK. Therefore we set our sights on the Internet and launched our first website in 2014.
A year and a half after launching eqvvs.co.uk, after seeing substantial growth, we wanted to offer a modern aesthetic which appealed to our younger, trend driven audience and formed Circa; boasting a portfolio mix of heritage brands like Ellesse and Pretty Green and up-and-coming names like Sprayground and Marshall Artist.
This site became a go-to destination for customers wanting to experiment with their style with a product mix which focused on bold colours and prints designed to make a statement. As the fashion landscape continued to shift, we found that there was a definite trend of customers wanting to shop a broader range of brands and their style was becoming more fluid than ever. They wanted to kick back in a Lyle & Scott hoodie on a weekday but turn it up with a bold Versace Couture shirt on a Friday night. 2020 therefore seemed like the perfect time to combine our two sites to create a destination which gives our customers the freedom to explore a wider range of styles.
